Full Time Day Shift RN to work Med Surg and ER.
Looking for a full time RN to work day shift on the Med Surg floor. Schedule includes 12 hour shifts (6:45am to 7:15pm) , every 3rd weekend and self scheduled holiday rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Provides professional nursing care to patients on the Med Surg floor and in the Emergency room. Administers prescribed medications, IVs, and treatment plans. Performs nursing assessments to formulate, implement and evaluate a plan of care for medical surgical and pediatric patients. Provides patient and family education needs.
Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize patient care and duties.
Integrates policies, procedures, standards, and healthcare provider orders to carry out quality patient care.
Must have ability to work well with others in a team. Demonstrates professionalism and works cooperatively with others including members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
May include opportunities for advancement to Charge Nurse if positive and effective leadership skills are demonstrated.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a RN in the State of Iowa or a compact state. Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Experience:
At least one year of hospital and emergency room experience as an RN preferred but not required.
