Laboratory Manager- Full Time

Hiring a full time Laboratory Manager who is responsible for the oversite of laboratory department, staff, and services performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices to meet the needs of patients as ordered by the medical staff.  Ensures that the laboratory is enrolled in CLIA approved proficiency testing program.  Prepares department budgets (operating, equipment personnel, and capital expenditures).  Possesses respectful communication and excellent customer service. Position must have current skills as an MT/MLT and will participate in an on-call rotation. 

Education:

  • BS degree or a bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology or Associates degree from a laboratory training program with ASCP or other nationally recognized certification
  • Be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official U.S. military medical laboratory course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist, ASCP or other nationally recognized certification

Experience:

  • One year of training or experience or both in basic laboratory procedures and quality control.  Leadership experience preferred.

Applicant must pass a background check, health assessment and drug screen before hiring.
