WEEKEND PACKAGE Med Surg RN - Night Shift

Hiring a Weekend Package RN to work on the Med Surg Unit. This position will be paid a premium rate of pay to work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 6:45pm to 7:15am. Position will work 2 out of 3 weekends. See weekend package details below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care to patients. Cares for medical-surgical and pediatric patients.

  • Integrates policies, procedures, standards, and healthcare provider orders to carry out quality patient care.

  • May include opportunities for advancement to Charge Nurse if positive and effective leadership skills are demonstrated.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a RN in the State of Iowa or a compact state. Certification in Basic Life Support and preferably Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Experience:

  • At least one year of hospital experience as an RN preferred but not required.

WEEKEND PACKAGE OPTIONS:

  • Two (2) out of three (3) weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday):

    • Employee’s base rate of pay is set based on the Iowa Hospital Association Salary Survey and employee’s work experience. In addition, the employee receives an hourly premium differential when working their eligible weekend package hours.

      • Employee will receive a set number PTO hours to be used annually.

        • Employee is eligible to participate in the hospital’s 401(k) retirement plan.

        • Employee is not eligible for other hospital benefits (health insurance, dental, vision, disability, etc).
